With fourteen years of complex civil litigation experience in both State and Federal courts, Karin A. Middleton leads the Baudino Litigation Team. Her practice includes successfully mediating cases for her clients, as well as trying numerous cases to verdict in both State and Federal courts across the state of Georgia. In addition, Kari’s practice includes appellate work in both the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Georgia Court of Appeals where she has been responsible for both briefing the issues presented to the courts as well as oral argument.
Kari’s practice currently focuses on defending healthcare clients in various types of litigation, including civil, employment law, government regulatory and Antitrust matters. Additionally, her experience as a litigator is extended to our healthcare clients as she counsels on employment law matters, transactional matters encompassing strategic planning and regulatory compliance, as well as various corporate matters in an effort to minimize their litigation exposure.
Kari believes in a professional, results-oriented, cost effective approach to serving her clients’ needs. Based on her extensive experience in trial work involving various areas of law that affect the daily operations of healthcare organizations, Kari adds value to our healthcare clients’ businesses and litigation needs.
RECENT REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
- Led litigation team that successfully defended Antitrust case against a hospital client that was dismissed by the District Court, now vigorously defending on appeal against plaintiff’s claims.
- Co-led litigation team that successfully defended Qui Tam case on behalf of a health system client in which the Office of Inspector General declined to intervene after a lengthy investigation and review of critical key evidence produced by the firm.
