Anna Sylvester, approaching ten years of only practicing health law, is a native of Albany, Georgia, and a Cum Laude graduate of the University of Georgia and the Charleston School of Law, where she completed the Medical University of South Carolina Presidential Scholar program. Immediately before joining Baudino Law Group, PLC, Anna served as Associate Vice President and Associate General Counsel of AMITA Health, a 19-hospital system joint operating company made up of Chicago area Adventist and Ascension hospitals with offices in Chicago. At AMITA Health, she was primarily responsible for providing legal support to the acute care hospitals, the AMITA Health medical groups, and the ambulatory service line. During her time at AMITA Health, Anna specialized in complex physician compensation structures and participated in a wide range of business-critical strategic and operational healthcare initiatives, including co-management agreements, medical practice acquisitions, and other physician alignment relationships. 
 
Prior to AMITA Health, Anna served as in-house Counsel at Thorek Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where she provided legal counsel to the hospital’s Board of Trustees, the executive team, department heads, and the medical staff. While in-house Counsel to Thorek, Anna advised Thorek on the full spectrum of hospital in-house issues, including payer contracting, aligned physician network creation, and a range of regulatory issues affecting health care, including  complex Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, EMTALA, and taxexemption issues. In addition, Anna has experience leading compliance investigations and audits. 
 
Anna is located in Atlanta, Georgia for Baudino Law Group and works with the other Baudino lawyers on business-critical strategic and operational healthcare initiatives, and physician issues, including group formation, value-based contracting, clinically integrated networks, co-management relationships and complex Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute issues, including the newly released value-based safe harbors, and compliance audits.
